船用柴油机分高速、中速和低速三类。高、中速柴油机采用的轴瓦材料多为铅青铜、铜铅合金和铝锡合金。低速柴油机绝大多数为白合金。我国船用柴油机轴瓦和国外先进水平相比,品种少、质量低和使用寿命短。低速大型船用柴油机中存在的最大问题是十字头轴瓦发生疲劳裂纹、剥落、铺铅等。使用寿命短,有的只有一千多小时。我国采用滚压的方法,提高十字头轴颈硬度和光洁度,以延长其使用寿命,情况有了一定的改善。但疲劳裂纹仍然存在,使用寿命不长的问题没有
