To investigate whether corticosteroids can reduce the adverse effects of ionic iodide contrast agents, the authors randomly divided 67,763 patients who used conventional iodinated contrast agents into four groups. The first and second groups took prednisone 12 hours and 2 hours before angiography. 32 mg. The third and fourth groups used placebo as the control for the first and second groups, respectively. The results showed that the incidence of various side effects in the four groups was 6.4%, 9.4%, 9.0% and 9.9%, respectively, that the first group of secondary corticosteroids had the best side effects. If the first group was compared with the reported 50,642 patients using non-ionic iodide contrast agents, the percentage of side effects requiring treatment was 1.2% and 0.9%, respectively, with no significant difference. The authors believe that the use of conventional ion iodide as intravenous contrast agent, such as before treatment
