我的这组《女人体》,采用的是古典的湿法火棉胶工艺(Wet Plate Collodion)。此工艺是1851年由英国人弗雷德里克·斯科特·阿切(Frederick Scott Archer,1813-1857)提出,简单说是在干净的玻璃上涂布混合了溴化物和碘化物的火棉胶,再侵入硝酸银溶液形成卤化银感光层,最后在湿润的状态下完成从拍摄到显影、定影的整个过程,其间充斥了太多的变量因素,它的影调及最终效果的不完全确定性,成就了它的独特魅力。另外,这种工艺可根据需求,把底片做成正片或负片。我的这组湿版采用的是正片,可以直接观看且是唯一的,这样的影像也有“玻璃上的达盖尔法照片”之称。
