Recently, the State Key Scientific Research Project, “Basic Research on Improving the Effectiveness and Safety of Pesticides Using Nanomaterials and Technologies” was officially launched. The drawbacks of exceeding the standard of traditional chemical pesticide residues and polluting the environment are expected to be improved through nanotechnology. According to Cui Haixin, chief scientist of the project and researcher at the Institute of Natural Resources and Environment of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China is an important country in the world in the production and use of pesticides. Currently, there are over 100 pests and diseases of pests in agriculture and 7 billion mu of chemical prevention and control areas each year.
