改编自苏童的中篇小说《妻妾成群》、由张艺谋执导的电影《大红灯笼高高挂》(英译名Raise the Red Lantern),讲述了民国年间女大学生颂莲在父亲去世后被迫嫁入大户人家陈府并与其他几房姨太太勾心斗角、相互争宠,最终以悲剧收场的故事。该片最早于1991年12月20日在法国公映。一经上映,便在海内外引起巨大反响。迄今为止,该片已经获得包括国际影评人协会大奖、第48届威尼斯国际电影节银狮奖、第16届大众电影百花奖等国内外多个奖项。[1]与此同时,该片受到国际、国内影评界 Adapted from Su Tong’s novella “Wives and Concubines”, directed by Zhang Yimou’s film “Raise the Red Lantern” (English translation of Raise the Red Lantern), about the Republican female college student Songlian was forced to marry after his father died Big family Chen House and several other concubines wife intrigue, petitions each other, and ultimately ended in tragedy story.
