本研究采用问卷调查和访谈的方式,以西北某两所普通理工类院校英语专业高年级本科生为对象,就其学习需求进行了调查,结果发现:1)英语专业技能课程的需求非常强烈,需加强,还需建立健全实践类课程,加强相关专业知识课程(尤其是经贸类课程);2)需创新课堂教学模式,丰富课内、课外学习活动;3)需满足学生学习能力和学习过程需求,提高自主学习能力;4)教师素质和学生需求仍有一定差距,需要提高;5)大部分现有教材偏难,教材选择需慎重。
This study, using questionnaires and interviews, conducted a survey on the learning needs of upper secondary English majors in two general universities of science and technology in Northwest China. The results showed that: 1) The demand for English majors was very high , Need to be strengthened, but also need to establish and improve practical courses, strengthen related professional knowledge courses (especially economic and trade courses); 2) need to innovate classroom teaching mode, enrich class, extracurricular learning activities; 3) to meet students’ learning ability and learning Process needs and improve their ability to learn independently; 4) there is still a gap between the quality of teachers and students’ needs and needs to be improved; and 5) most existing teaching materials are difficult and the selection of teaching materials should be carefully taken.
