Objective To observe the injury and recovery of monkey kidney exposed to high + G_x exposure and provide the basis for high overload medical evaluation and safeguards of high overload human trials in the manned space mission. Methods Eighteen healthy male adult rhesus monkeys were randomly divided into control group (n = 2), + 15 G_x group (n = 6), + 18 G_x group (n = 3) and +21 G_x group , Respectively, in the centrifuge to withstand the corresponding peak parabolic overload curve, and then at different times for urine tests and anatomical material, using a light microscope to observe the pathological changes in the kidneys. Results ① Immediately after + G_x exposure, urinary occult blood was positive in all the groups of + 15 G_x, + 18 G_x and +21 G_x, with positive urinary protein, and the positive rate of urine occult blood in + 21 G_x group was significantly higher than that of + +15 G_x group (P <0.05), and the positive degree was also higher than that of the control group and the +15 G_x group (P <0.01). ② Immediately after + G_x exposure, +15 G_x group, +18 G_x group and +21 G_x group showed mild, moderate and severe histopathological damage respectively; ③The kidney function and renal pathological changes of +15 G_x and + 18 G_x groups returned to normal after 9 days of overload exposure, and +21 G_x group returned to normal after 30 days. Conclusions Exposure to high + G_x can cause recurrent injury in monkey kidney. With the increase of G value, the injury is aggravated and the recovery time prolonged.
