The epidemiological study on the relationship between environmental pollution and congenital malformation in a large thermal power plant found that the incidence of congenital malformations in neonates with pollution in the polluted area (40.82 ‰) was significantly higher than that in the control area (16.29 ‰) (P <0.005), RR = 2.51, AR = 24.53 ‰. The incidence of deformity in the contaminated area is closer to the power plant. The incidence of deformity is higher. The incidence of deformity associated with genetic, infections, drugs, marriage and other factors of two relatives balanced, and can not play a major role in the pollution area and the control area of the deformities are not the same. Therefore, it can be considered that the discharge of pollutants from the power plant is the main factor in the high incidence of congenital malformations among residents.
