汕头保税区与清华大学生物工程科技合作项目签约仪式不久前举行。即将在保税区设立的该生物工程生产开发基地,预算总投资2亿元,主要用于建立生物工程实验室、产品中试实验车间和大规模生产设备。计划在2至4年的时间里建立一套完整的生物技术研究开发与生产的机制和设备。生物工程和信息产业被认为是21世纪最有发展前途的高科技产业。清华大学在用微生物法合成新型功能高分子材料的研究与开发上在国内外都处于领先地位,此次与汕头保税区和发实业公司合作建立生物工程生产开发基地,将进行高分子聚酯、手性药物中间体等项目的研究开发和产业化工作。基地将不断把主要研究人员派到清华大学,学习新技术和了解新项目,然后返回基地进行消化吸收,中试成功后转为大规模生产。清华大学也将有不同层次的专家,包括教授、副教授、讲师及博士后、博
