对铜陵长江大桥桥址河段的河床演变及建桥后对桥址上下游河道的影响进行分析研究的结果表明,建桥后对桥址上下游河道的影响范围不大,不会引起本河段河势的变化,对行洪没有明显影响。通过全面地分析认为,桥址Ⅲ相对较差,桥址Ⅰ、Ⅱ均具有良好的建桥条件。对桥型的选择,仅从防洪、航运角度看以选对河道水流影响最小的桥型Ⅱ为宜。
