湖北抗战在中国人民抗战史上具有十分重要的历史地位。湖北作为全面抗战初期全国抗日运动的中心,在中国共产党倡导建立的抗日民族统一战线旗帜下,以国其合作为基础,中国人民同穷凶极恶的日本侵略者进行了艰苦卓绝的斗争。中国国民党和中国共产党领导的抗日军队,分别担负着正面战场和敌后战场的作战任务,形成了共同抗击日本侵略者的战略态势。 The Anti-Japanese War in Hubei Province has a very important historic position in the history of the Chinese people’s war of resistance. Under the banner of the anti-Japanese national united front advocated by the Chinese Communist Party, Hubei, as the center of the national anti-Japanese movement in the early days of the All-round War of Resistance Against Japan, conducted an arduous struggle against the most behemoth Japanese invaders based on their cooperation. The anti-Japanese armed forces led by the Chinese Kuomintang and the Chinese Communist Party shoulder the operational tasks of the front battlefield and the enemy rear battlefield, respectively, and form a strategic posture for jointly fighting the Japanese aggressors.
