本刊讯(记者舒文琼)爱立信和德国电信近日完成了更高带宽光网络传输的现场测试。该测试活动是爱立信和德国电信共同参与的由公共资助的研发项目100GET中的一部分。双方通过Marconi MHL 3000 WDM平台完成了此项新技术的测试,该技术将满足客户对固定和移动宽带网络稳步增长的宽带业务需求。在对现有光网络进行大幅扩容后,光网络传输系统将帮助网络运营商通过逐步增加资本开支来扩大规模,并减少每比特功耗,从而大大降低成本。
Benjuxun (Reporter Shu Wenqiong) Ericsson and Deutsche Telekom recently completed a field test of higher bandwidth optical network transmission. The test is part of a publicly-funded research and development project 100GET that Ericsson and Deutsche Telekom participated in. Both parties completed the testing of this new technology through the Marconi MHL 3000 WDM platform, which will meet customers’ growing demand for broadband services for fixed and mobile broadband networks. With a dramatic expansion of existing optical networks, optical network transmission systems will help network operators cut costs dramatically by scaling up their capital expenditures and reducing power consumption per bit.
