从小直径厚壁钢管窄间隙熔化极脉冲氩弧焊的生产实际出发,设计了一种以窄间隙坡口棱边为轨迹的新型跟踪传感器——光电数字传感器。该传感器利用坡口棱边效应,将间隙中光源发出的连续光信号离散成数字形式的光信号,从而能定量给出偏移量的大小,具有跟踪精度高、占用焊缝周围空间小、电路简单、抗干扰能力强等特点。采用这种新型的光电数字传感器,配以单板计算机为主体组成实时跟踪控制系统,并使跟踪与焊枪摆动一体化,有效地实现了对小直径厚壁钢管窄间隙焊的高精度焊缝跟踪和保证良好的侧壁熔合。
