10月18日至20日,第八届中老缅泰越边境地区文化艺术节在西双版纳傣族自治州景洪市举办。五国艺术家分别在州民族体育运动场景洪剧院、民族风情园、版纳乐园等地,为中外来宾和各族群众献上精心创作的文艺节目;他们5次同台演出,交流技艺、展示了五国丰厚的民族文化底蕴。各国艺术家独领风骚、别具特色的的优美歌舞、音乐服饰,给观众留下了深刻的印象。五国边境文化艺术荟萃,扩大了文化交流,相互增进了友谊,对促进澜沧江—湄公河次区域经济合作具有深远的意义。首届五国边境文化艺术节,是1993年由泰国清莱府倡导并承办的,第九届也将由清莱府承办、中共云南省委副书记王天玺出席了本届艺术节开幕式,并会见了各国代表团的艺术家。
From October 18 to October 20, the 8th Sino-Laos Myanmar-Thai border culture and art festival was held in Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture. The artists from the five countries presented elaborately prepared literary programs for the Chinese and foreign guests and all ethnic groups in the Jinghong Theater, Ethnic Customs Garden, Banna Paradise and other places in the state national sports arena. They performed on the same stage five times and exchanged skills to showcase the five countries Rich national culture. Artists from all over the world dominated by the distinctive graceful singing and dancing and musical costumes, leaving a deep impression on the audience. The cross-border cultural and arts gatherings of the five countries have expanded cultural exchanges and mutual friendship, which has far-reaching significance in promoting the economic cooperation in the Lancang-Mekong subregion. The first border cross-border arts festival was initiated and hosted by Chiang Rai, Thailand in 1993. The ninth session will also be hosted by Chiang Rai Province. Wang Tianyu, deputy secretary of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, attended the opening ceremony of the festival and met with Artists from various countries.
