I. Aluminum and Transportation The current transportation industry is moving in the direction of safety, high speed, energy conservation, environmental protection, high efficiency, high cost performance and comfortable appearance. The fundamental way to achieve these goals is to reduce the weight of vehicles. Since World War I, aluminum has been used only in the aerospace and aerospace industries for nearly 1/3 (2.7 g / cm3) of steel density, light and strong mechanical properties and ease of processing.
