Objective: To determine the content of total saponin of Panax quinquefolium by quantitative colorimetry. Methods : The optimum process of extraction of fresh ginseng fresh juice was optimized by orthogonal test and a reasonable and reliable extraction condition was established. Results : The optimum process was: 60% ethanol, cold soaking for 24 hours, and the amount of dissolved coal was 8 times that of fruit paste. Conclusion: Process is feasible and reasonable
