竖井钻机是凿井工程中较先进的设备之一,但由于破岩刀具—楔齿滚刀易于磨损,使用寿命低,从而降低了钻井效率,是当前影响钻机正常使用的主要问题之一。楔齿滚刀的工作条件是恶劣的,它在泥浆中以较高的钻压,压碎和切削岩石,齿刃部份承受着小能量的多次冲击和滑移时的弯曲应力。目前,国内生产的刀壳,大都选用22CrMnMo,20Ni_3MnMo等优质钢材为刀壳基体,在齿刃部份堆焊硬质合金耐磨层,国外也大体如此。
