词语的考查历来是高考的重头戏。从1997年到2000年每年3道题,分值分别为9分、6分、9分、9分,2001年两道题6分。这就是说,高考对词语的考查至少是两道题6分,更为常见的则是3道题9分。从词语的类型看,这几年主要考查三项：同义词辨析、成语和虚词的运用。这三者只是就高考题型而言做的易于学生把握的大体分类,标准并不统一,同义词不但在双音节实词里有,在成语和虚词里也有,请不要误解。高考对词语的考查,重在运用。而运用的前提是理解。没有正确理解,谈不上正确运用。那么,如何正确理解词语呢
