Burning sensation is the most basic symptom and may be accompanied by reflux, difficulty in swallowing, chest pain, frequent suffocation, upper abdominal pain and other basic features. Very little is known about the long-term course of GERD without or with medications (HZ receptor antagonists or Ogilvy’s bite) or without anti-reflux therapy.
