胡飞是我的大学同学。本来供职于国内著名新闻机构的她,前不久远渡重洋,来到枫叶之国——加拿大,求学于多伦多。多伦多是加拿大的最大城市,也是加拿大华人最集中的地方。已经告别中文方块字日渐谙熟英文的胡飞在编辑的一再邀约之下,拿起笔,将她在多伦多的见闻记录下来,当然还包括她的所思所想所感。本刊会陆续报道胡飞的“多伦多漫记”,希望这对那些即将赴加赴多伦多读书的人们有所帮助。 Hu Fei is my college classmate. Originally worked for a well-known domestic news agency, she traveled long distances across the oceans and came to Canada, where she studied in Toronto. Toronto is Canada’s largest city and the largest concentration of Canadian Chinese. Hu Fei, who has become fluent in Chinese characters and who is increasingly familiar with English under the editors’ repeated invitation, picked up her pen to record her knowledge of Toronto and, of course, what she thought and felt. The journal will follow Hu Fei’s “Toronto Tribute” in the hope that it will be helpful to those who are about to go to Toronto to study in Canada.
