銅鉛锍(鉛冰銅)是鉛鼓风炉的副产品之一,其中不仅含有較多的金属鉛和銀,还含有金。鉛精矿中的銅有75%以上均进入銅鉛锍中。为了回收其中的銅、鉛、貴金属和硫等有价元素,在現代化的炼鉛厂里,一般都采用轉炉吹炼进行处理。由于鉛精矿含銅少,一般不到1%,产出的銅鉛锍含銅只有2.8—11.2%,采用轉炉吹炼不能直接得到粗銅,因此,必須先用鼓风炉对銅鉛锍进行一次富集銅的熔炼,先回收其中的大部分鉛,从而使銅鉛锍中的含銅品位相对地提高。在进行富集熔炼以前,需将銅鉛锍进行焙烧脫硫,烧結成块。焙烧料的配料計算載于附表中。
