In this paper, a method of remote acoustic pulse telemetry of submarine surface sediment types is proposed. Some authors have pointed out that seafloor reflection coefficients can be used as feature quantities to identify sediment types. However, the shape of the echo signal may contain more information on the type of deposit. This article attempts to extract the classification feature from the shape of the echo envelope.
