上世纪60年代,一架运输机从美国起飞,前往某地切断废弃的石油管道。机上除了飞行员唐斯,还载着八名石油公司的员工和一个临时搭机的男子——艾利特。飞机经过蒙古上空时,遭遇沙尘暴袭击,飞机幸运地成功迫降。正当机上的十个人为劫后余生而欢欣鼓舞时,却发现已经身处大漠深处,生存希望渺茫。飞机严重受损,无法重新起飞,无线电通讯设备全部损坏,与外界联系中断;指南针受磁场影响失效;没有了足够的粮食和水,想徒步走出沙漠绝无可能。
In the 1960s, a transport plane took off from the United States and went somewhere to cut off the abandoned oil pipelines. In addition to the pilot Downs, there were eight employees of the oil company and a man who was on a temporary boarding flight - Elliott. The plane was hit by dust storms when it passed over Mongolia, and the plane was lucky to land successfully. While on the plane ten people rejoiced for the rest of their lives, they found themselves in the depths of the desert with little hope of survival. Serious damage to the aircraft, unable to take off again, all damage to radio communications equipment, interruption of contact with the outside world; failure of the compass by a magnetic field; lack of adequate food and water and the prospect of trekking out of the desert.
