Recently, the project of “Attracting Bo into Xinjiang” has become a hot spot of concern throughout the country. Its train of thought is to reach a new grip by sending seawater from the northwest coast of the Bohai Sea. The plan envisages repression of the desert by filling large quantities of seawater with dry salt lakes, lagoons and enclosed structural basins in the desert to create artificial seawater and lakes. At the same time, a large amount of seawater relies on abundant natural solar evaporation in northwest China to increase rainfall as a water vapor supply source in humid northern climate so as to achieve the goal of controlling deserts and sandstorms and completely changing the ecological environment in north and northwest China. Professor Chen Changli of China University of Geosciences and professor Huo Youguang of Xi’an Jiaotong University are the proponents and supporters of the idea of “Westernization of Sea Water” and “Attracting Bo into Xinjiang”. The starting point of Chen Changli is to let sea water
