According to the railway cooperation agreement between China and Japan, an expert discussion will be held every year since 1985. The first Sino-Japanese Railway Cooperation Expert Seminar was held at the Shiba Yayoi Shrine in Tokyo from May 28th to June 3rd, 1985. A six-member delegation from China attended the meeting and was led by Comrade Fuzhi Fu, Chief Engineer of the Bureau of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Railways. The meeting has three issues: bridge construction, speed regulation of vehicles and application of electronic computers in railway transportation. China published a total of five papers, of which three were read by the General Assembly and the Japanese side read nine papers.
