云南省有野生杜鹃260多种,占全国总种数的65％,昆明植物研究所的冯国楣教授等人对126种杜鹃花种子进行育苗试验。种子发芽率在60—90％,幼苗成活率达到60—75％。
There are over 260 species of wild rhododendrons in Yunnan Province, accounting for 65% of the total species in the country. Professor Feng Guomei of Kunming Institute of Botany conducted seedling trials on 126 species of rhododendron. Seed germination rate of 60-90%, seedling survival rate of 60-75%.
