Supply and marketing cooperatives with a history of more than 60 years have a relatively sound organizational system and a network of operations covering both urban and rural areas. However, after the reform and opening up, the traditional systems and mechanisms of supply and marketing cooperatives have become increasingly prominent, their pace of development has been slowing and their businesses have been shrinking. In order to rejuvenate the long-established supply and marketing cooperatives, in July 2014, Yunnan Province, while issuing the “Overall Plan for Deepening Rural Reform in Yunnan Province”, at the same time, formulated the "Comprehensive Reform of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives
