11月21日,浦东国际机场城市航站楼工程,设计图纸出齐,建设资金落实,前期手续办齐,正进行土建招投标。这项工程是浦东国际机场和虹桥国际机场航站楼的延伸,建成后将增加两个机场乃至上海整个城市的进出港通道,加快行李托运,方便旅客进出。该工程为框剪结构,占地4040m~2,建筑面积3万m~2,计划工期15～18个月,1999年底正式开工。
On November 21st, the city terminal building project of Pudong International Airport was completed with design drawings, construction funds were implemented, preliminary procedures were completed, and civil construction bidding was underway. This project is an extension of the Pudong International Airport and the Hongqiao International Airport Terminal. Upon completion, it will increase the access to and from the two airports and even the entire city of Shanghai, speeding up baggage check-in and facilitating passengers’ access. The project is a frame-scissored structure covering an area of 4040m2 and a building area of 30,000m2. The planned construction period is 15 to 18 months. The construction was officially started at the end of 1999.
