India’s Oil and Natural Gas Commission will invest Rs 4 crore to develop three new formations of the Ratna field offshore Mumbai. Three new structures, R-7, R-9 and R-13, are adjacent to each other, about 60 km south of the Heera field. The development plan includes the construction of three well platforms, a treatment platform, a number of water injection platforms and gas lift facilities and a tubing leading from the treatment platform to the R-12 structure. Crude oil will be delivered from the processing platform to the R-12 construction and from there to the Heera field via existing pipelines. The total geological reserves of the three structures are 28.38 million tons.
