I. INTRODUCTION In the recent ten years, a great deal of research has been done on the relationship between drought and flood and earthquakes [1-9], and the results of these studies are used in the mid-term earthquake prediction. This paper attempts to explore the mid-term anomalies of the rainfall field before the strong earthquakes in our country, from which we can see some connection between the droughts and floods and the regularity of earthquakes. II. Droughts and floods of strong earthquakes in various regions of China Before the vast majority of strong earthquakes in our country, there was a large-scale (including epicenter) droughts and floods over a period of several years and an area of hundreds of thousands or even millions of square kilometers In determining the background of basic droughts and landslides before the occurrence of a strong earthquake, in order to avoid confusion and subjective arbitrariness brought about by different time scales (that is, when indefinitely looking forward and looking back for drought and flood anomalies,
