吉林省位于东北地区的中部,东北与苏联接壤,东南分别以图们江和鸭绿江与朝鲜民主主义人民共和国为邻,南、西、北分别与辽宁、内蒙古自治区、黑龙江等省区相毗连。地理位置在东径121°38′～131°18′与北纬40°52′～46°18′之间。土地面积为18.84万平方公里,耕地面积6.074万亩,占总土地面积的21％,森林面积10,676万亩,森林覆盖率为38％,草原面积2,286万亩,占土地面积8.1％,水面面积1,000万亩,占土地面积3.5％。
Jilin Province is located in the middle of northeast China. Northeast China is bordered by the Soviet Union. Southeast of the province is adjacent to the Tumen River and the Yalu River and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Jilin Province is adjacent to Liaoning, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Heilongjiang Province respectively. Its geographical location is between east longitude 121 ° 38 ’~ 131 ° 18’ and north latitude 40 ° 52 ’~ 46 ° 18’. The land area is 188,400 square kilometers and the cultivated land area is 60,740 mu, accounting for 21% of the total land area. The forest area is 106,670,000 mu, the forest coverage rate is 38%, the grassland area is 22,860,000 mu, accounting for 8.1% of the land area and the surface area 1,000 Mu, accounting for 3.5% of the land area.
