I. INTRODUCTION In many engineering equipment, such as finned heat exchangers, solar collectors, nuclear reactors and power electronics, risers are often used as their heat sinks. Since Elenbass first proposed natural convection of risers, a great deal of analysis and experimentation has been done. In order to facilitate the analysis, usually the assumption of certainty (Boussinesqu assumption), and pay little attention to the impact of physical properties. When the characteristic temperature difference and the absolute temperature ratio is not very small, it is necessary to consider the impact of changes in fluid properties, usually using the reference temperature method or the physical property ratio method of correction. This article focuses on the influence of physical changes on the mass flow in the riser channel. In numerical calculation and experimental study, natural convection was found
