The image of monsters in the Russian Anatoly King novel is mainly divided into monsters and demons. The writer draws material from the Greek mythology, the Bible, the Russian polygamy and folk myths, fairy tales, etc., and combines with the realistic background to give these magical images rich philosophical meanings. The images of monsters in his early works are closely integrated with the history of the nation and the social reality, showing the evil, the fall of human nature and the alienation of human beings. In the mid-term creation, the devil rebelled against God and degenerated human nature from his divine nature. Although it was an incarnation of “evil”, it did not completely refuse good. Anatoly King’s novels have undergone a process of shifting from describing the existence of evil to thinking about the root causes of evil, with the intention of using religious salvation to dispel evil and promote good.
