Wall Street is the heart of American capitalism. Wall Street stocks sneezing and the global economy has a cold. And there is a glimpse into the strength of the U.S. stock market, the Federal Reserve Chairman Greenspan who has passed the september year. Greenspan’s power is seen as second only to President Clinton. This weakened old man is bent on the American financial community to adjust short-term interest rates at any time to change the borrowing costs of everyone in the community. And one or two of his words, the stock market can be pushed to heaven or pushed hell. Last December, when Greenspan gave a speech to the American Enterprise Association, he seemed to inadvertently call Wall Street stock markets “irrational fanaticism.” The voice just faded, the Dow Jones index rallied 166 points in a day.
