在《藤野先生》一文中,鲁迅先生在谈到藤野先生为他修改的讲义的下落时说:“不幸十年前迁居的时候, 中途毁坏了一口书箱,失去半箱书, 恰巧这讲义也遗失在内了。责成运送局去找寻,寂无回信。”鲁迅所说的迁居是指1919年回绍兴卖掉祖居,接全家迁往北京一事。不过,据鲁迅博物馆资料室负责人杨燕丽介绍(文章题目为《关于“医学笔记”》,见《鲁迅研究月刊》1997.1),这些藤野先生修改过的讲义并没有丢失,而是完好无损地保存于鲁迅博物馆中。1994年经国家一级革命文物专家确认组鉴定, 被认定为国家一级革命文物。
