In the West African submarine long borehole horizontal well, the oil-based drilling fluid is used to drill the upper non-pay zone and the horizontal pay zone is drilled with a CaCO 3 / polymer drilling fluid with a certain particle size distribution. Laboratory tests show that the filter cake formed by polymer drilling fluid aggravated by acid-soluble CaCO_3 is relatively thick and loose, and it is difficult to make uniform contact between the filter cake and HCl during acidification of the horizontal section of the oil layer, resulting in incomplete filter cake removal.
