Al—Ti—B中间合金是细化铝及铝合金晶粒,改善金属组织和提高产品性能的一种最有效的细化剂。以往都是用硼盐和钛直接加入铝熔体中生产的,俄罗斯研究人员开发研制出一种新的 Al—Ti—B中间合金的生产方法。生产方法如下:使用氧化性的含硼原料作阳极,钛做阴极,铝熔体为电解质进行电解,使硼沉积到阴极钛上,并同阴极钛一起溶解于液态铝中。该熔体在快速冷却凝结成铸锭的过程中形成含硼和钛的中间化合物。这种金属间化合物尺寸小,分布均匀。
