This paper introduces the structural measures and economic effects of converting the TэM2у shunting diesel locomotive into a natural gas locomotive. According to the analysis, all the models of the locomotive converted annual economic benefits up to 74.3 million rubles. In the case of natural gas equipment, the depot itself can make such a modification.
