几年来,福建省公路绿化工作取得一定成绩,至1964年底止,全省公路行道树拥有量达三百多万株。涌现了一批自力更生,大搞群众运动,基本实现公路绿化的先进地区。如东山县经过七年时间,全县达到每公里平均植树6,200株,最少的西长线每公里平均也达到3,600株,基本上组成了公路林带,从而挡住了风沙,战胜了自然灾害,有力支持了农业生产,维护了公路交通。在1958年未营造公路林以前,为了临时推护通车,这个县每年清除公路上风吹积沙所花费的劳力达5,000~6,000工日,造林后的近三年,清除公路积沙
In recent years, some achievements have been made in road greening in Fujian Province. By the end of 1964, the province’s roadway tree owned more than 3 million trees. A number of advanced areas have emerged that are self-reliance, mass vigilance and road greening.
