20世纪二三十年代，在中共中央、福建省委，闽西特委的有关文件和赣南闽西苏区红军将士的口头中，有个匪首的名字常被提起，他就是钟绍葵。1950年，解放军空军司令刘亚楼响弟弟刘亚东自老家福建武平来北京，尝听林彪说：“你们武平有个钟绍葵，这家伙打山地游击很有一套，王良 按：红四军军长) 和许卓 (按：红七军代政委、红军总部参谋处长) 好像就是牺牲在他手下的，他还捕捉追杀了瞿秋白、何叔衡……” 钟绍葵何许人也，请看：
