据《大众日报》报道我国玉米育种专家、莱阳农学院教授刘恩训,经过十余年的努力,选育出玉米新自交系,在全国居领先地位。刘恩训教授利用这种H21新自交系组配了多个玉米杂交种。其中,他们组配的抗旱中早熟玉米杂交种8112×H21—“鲁玉10号”(暂定名),1987年至1988年,在山东省玉米杂交种早熟组区域的29处试验区的试验生产中,其技术指标获23个第一,居首位。2年平均亩产491.5公斤,比对照组的鲁玉3号亩增49.88公斤,增产率为11.3%。1988年,这个杂交种同时又提升参加山东省中熟组区域的生产试验,在6处区试平均亩产563.15公
