欢聚北京7月25日,由国务院侨务办公室和中国海外交流协会主办的2010年海外华裔及港澳台地区青少年“中国寻根之旅”夏令营在北京盛大开幕。来自世界51个国家和港澳台地区的六千余名华裔青少年欢聚北京人民大会堂,参加了隆重的开营式。此次活动是规格最高、规模最大、人数最多的一届。辽宁省侨办积极组织了三十余名来自德国、韩国、美国、加拿大等国家的营员和2名海外领队参加。营员年龄在12岁至18岁之间,大多是华裔或新华侨子女,他们中的大部分人很小就去了国外,有的就出生在国外,从未来过中国,根本不了解中国,他们对中国既亲切又陌生,迫切希望通过自己耳闻目睹的亲身感受来认识中国。
Celebrating Beijing On July 25, 2010, the Overseas Chinese and Hong Kong, Maucao and Youth Camps “China’s Root-seeking Tour” summer camp hosted by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and China Overseas Exchange Association were grandly opened in Beijing. More than 6,000 Chinese teenagers from 51 countries, Hong Kong, Maucao and Taiwan, gathered in Beijing’s Great Hall of the People for a grand opening ceremony. The event is the highest specification, the largest, the largest number of sessions. Liaoning Overseas Chinese Affairs Office actively organized more than thirty campers from Germany, South Korea, the United States, Canada and other countries and two overseas leaders to attend. The campers, aged 12 to 18 years old, mostly Chinese or Xinhua children. Most of them went overseas, while others were born abroad. They never visited China before and did not understand China at all. They are both kind and strange to China, and they are eager to know China through the personal experience they have seen and heard.
