1 极移的地震激发研究三维的地球自转变化可分为两个分量,即(1)一维的自转速率的变化,常以日长的变化来表示;(2)两维的地球自转轴指向的变化,亦即极移.在角动量守恒的前提下,地球内部地球物理过程会导致大尺度的物质运动造成“地球物理变化”,这包括固体地球及海洋的潮汐形变、大气波动、水圈的变化、洋流、地震的位错、冰川期后的回弹、地壳和地幔的移动以及地核的活动.本文论述的是极移与地震的关系.地震活动性与地球自转的相互作用,自从100多年前极移发现以来就可能已被注意到了.一方面,非均
