Objective To investigate and analyze the nutritional status of patients with advanced oncology in hospital by mini-nutritional assessment (MNA) and to explore their relationship with traditional nutrition evaluation methods. Methods The MNA questionnaire, traditional assessment methods and laboratory tests were used to evaluate the nutritional status of 600 patients with advanced cancer. The correlation between MNA score and traditional anthropometric and laboratory tests was compared. Results According to the MNA score, 247 (41.2%) malnourished patients with advanced cancer, 162 (27.0%) with malnutrition, and 191 (31.8%) with malnutrition were rated as malnutrition. The scores of MNA and traditional methods The correlation between BMI, TSF, AM, AMC, Hb, ALB, and total lymphocyte count (TLC) The coefficients range from 0.27 to 0.63 (P <0.05), with good correlation. Conclusions The incidence of malnutrition and malnutrition in hospitalized patients with advanced cancer is high, and appropriate nutritional support should be given. MNA is a simple, easy, non-invasive, suitable for advanced cancer patients nutrition evaluation method.
