在2001年,湖南省各大中学生报刊上忽然高频率出现了一个名字——左玉冰。她清纯的文字倾倒了不少同龄人。秋高气爽,我来到中南大学附属中学,有幸见着了她：细挑的个儿,白皙的面肤,谈话时总是洋溢着青春的笑。我开始了对她的采访。记者(以下简称记)：你什么时候开始发表作品的?左玉冰(以下简称左)：很惭愧,虽然在小学三年级时发过一篇至今自己也记不起的东西,但我认为那不能称为作品,而后来我一直没能发表什么东西。直到2001年,我爸爸的一个朋友将我的一篇随笔,叫《靠窗听音乐》,邮给《初中生》,竟然发表了。我从这时起才意识到,我的文章也是可以发表的。记：你小时候就很喜欢作文吗?你怎么走近文学的呢?左：说实话,从小学一年级起,我就不喜欢写作文,这些文章是在老师和家长的逼迫下完成的,几乎全是大话、空话、套话。
