This paper discusses in detail the algorithmic basis of a general procedure for compulsory noise analysis of nonlinear microwave circuits. In the noise analysis, the thermal noise generated by the passive sub-networks, various noise sources introduced by the active devices, and noise injected by the excitation sources are considered. The provided noise model simulates a microwave mixer of any topology and any non-linear circuit operating in a steady-state with large periodic signals in the time domain. It also briefly introduces noise models for nonlinear devices such as FETs / HEMTs and diodes.
