Craig Barrett, Intel’s CEO, said that the semiconductor industry has fallen into the biggest dilemma in history, but the development of the Internet will serve as its savior. This obvious paradox - the increase in users and the decrease in revenue in the industry - was the theme of Tuesday’s Intel online roadshow. “For those of us who have spent the last 30 years in the industry, this time is the biggest recession we have experienced in this industry, which is twice as great as it was in 1995,” Barrett said. "The Internet has just begun its first phase. The huge amount of traffic just started.” In order to better grasp the growth point, Intel fully adjusted its strategy and focused on its core chip.
