中国的当代雕塑目前尚处于西方主流雕塑概念的笼罩之下,甚至重大的展览都要请外国人和境外华人专家领导策划和总结。说明“什么是雕塑”的问题在中国并没有成为一个自觉的问题。所以,这又是雕塑问题研讨的原创性价值所在。作为理论家,解释什么是雕塑导致他评价历史和现行的创作。作为雕塑家,理解什么是雕塑致使他实现每一件作品。而且,中国在1840年鸦片战争战败之后,经过160年的雪耻图强,其实已经到达了一个新的文化时期,就是要对人类的文化重新评价,根据现实问题提出解决方案,建造文明史。也就是要对雕塑重新评价,根据社会的变革和现代化的问题而形成雕塑。
Contemporary Chinese sculpture is still under the shadow of the mainstream Western concept of sculpture. Even major exhibitions must be planned and summarized by foreigners and overseas Chinese experts. The question of what is sculpture is not a conscious issue in China. Therefore, this is the original value of the study of sculpture. As a theorist, explain what sculpture has led him to evaluate history and current creation. As a sculptor, understand what a sculpture causes him to achieve every piece of work. Moreover, after the defeat of the Opium War in 1840, China has in fact reached a new era of culture after 160 years of shameless shame. It is about reevaluating the human culture and putting forward solutions based on realistic problems so as to build a civilized history. That is to re-evaluate the sculpture, according to the social transformation and modernization of the formation of sculpture.
