电极埋入式盐浴炉是现阶段普遍采用的盐浴炉型。但是,此种炉子,尤其是三相炉还存在着两个比较大的问题,在一定程度上影响了它的使用:①三相电流不平衡;②电极间电流分布不均匀,端头电流密度大,以致使电极端头过早烧损而降低炉子寿命。本工作做了如下改进:①将炉膛由方形改成圆形,使三相电流获得了近于100%的理想的平衡;圆形炉膛还有一系列优点。②通过模拟试验,求得了电极间距与电流密度的几近线性的关系。于是将等高状电极改成导电面投影为截头菱形状电极,达到电极间电流均匀分布的目的,从而避免电极端头烧损。 炉子经过一段时间的使用,证明基本达到设计要求,只是电极寿命尚须时间的考验。
