江南地区是稻谷生产的发祥地,至今已有七千多年的历史,而稻谷生产的种种文化现象,影响着一代又一代江南人的生活、社会、心理、行为等等。由上海民间文艺家协会主席姜彬先生主持,江、浙、沪两省一市以及日本学者共同撰写的《稻作文化与江南民俗》一书,是我国第一部系统探讨和全部研究江南地区稻作文化的学术著作,是区域性文化研究的又一个新的成果。 稻作文化是一跨国界的领域。水稻在东南亚及日本、朝鲜等国都是重要的农作物,并由此产生了众多的有关稻作方面的文化现象。在日本:早就对这种稻作文化现象进行了研究,对各个产稻国进行深入细仔的调查和考察,在此基础上,写出了许多调查报告和学术论文。过去,日本学者认为,中国的云南等地是稻谷发源地,世界上的水稻是由云南向各地扩散的,特别是日本稻谷就从云南移传过去的。而今随着浙江河的渡的发掘,发现了七千年前的稻谷遗存,这才对日本学术界产生影响,并对稻谷云南起源说发生了动摇,他们纷粉将眼光投向江、浙地区,并有了不少学术成果。本书中的《日中稻作礼仪的比较研究》作者是日本学习院大学教授诹访春雄先生则是研究中国稻作文化较有成就者之一,他的文章得到日本学术界的重视。

In this book, “A Comparative Study of Rice-cultivation Etiquette in Japan and China” was written by Professor Suu Kyushu, a professor at Japan’s Gakushuin University, who studied Japanese rice culture more than ever before. His essay received much attention from Japanese academia.
